Level 5: Advanced Level

Smoking ban debate. 

Smoking cigarettes in public buildings is already banned in many countries. In these 5 lessons, you will hear a debate between two people with very different views on the ban itself, and on proposals to extend it to outdoor public spaces. You will learn loads of idioms, phrasal verbs and advanced structures, and also how to discuss this hot topic!

Level 4: High Intermediate Level

Conversation about rock music and popular culture.  

In these 5 lessons, Claire and Robert debate which was the better of two classic British bands, The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. They also discuss the famous UK music scene of the 1960s and how rock music has changed since then. These are great lessons if you ever wish to discuss any music or popular culture, and will also teach you valuable conversation skills.

Level 3: Intermediate Level

English in the supermarket. 

These 5 lessons show you how to ask and answer questions in a supermarket. You will also learn how to ask for and describe where things are, talk about opening and closing times, help customers and ask for advice. Great lessons for all shoppers and supermarket workers too!

Level 2: Elementary Level

Conversation about a town.  

Max asks Helen about her home town, Hastings. They talk about its history and what it is like now. These 5 lessons will teach you how to make interesting conversation about your home town.

Level 1: Beginner Level

These 5 lessons will show you how to ask about prices and to ask for things in a shop. They will also teach you how to serve customers if you work in a shop. Very important skills!
